Simon Fine

Simon Fine joined Shore Capital in 2002 as CEO of Shore Capital Markets, responsible for all aspects of trading and brokerage as well as the integration of related corporate broking activities. He is the former Managing Director and Co-Head of Pan European Equity Cash Trading at Lehman Brothers. Prior to that, Simon spent the previous 14 years at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, latterly as Head of Pan European Equity Cash Trading – developing its UK operations into one of the leading players in the UK and German equities.

Clive has a Ph.D from The Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB), where he is now Chairman of the Industry Advisory Board to Professor Chris Elliott’s world renowned Institute for Global Food Security. He entered the banking world in 1995 following roles as Head of Food Policy at the National Farmers' Union and strategic planning at Northern Foods plc, joining Shore Capital in 2003 as Head of Research.

Clive is one of the UK’s leading consumer analysts, reflected in many consecutive high rankings in asset manager surveys such as Extel and Reuters. Clive was ranked no.3 for the whole stock market in 2013, and the Starmine survey ranked him no.1 stock picker in 2015. In 2014 he was named the City AM analyst of the year.  He also advised the UK Food Standards Agency from 2011-2013 and is a non-executive director of social charity The Community Shop.

Malachy McEntyre

Malachy joined Shore Capital in 2004 and has been central to Shore Capital’s successful fundraising activities. Prior to Shore Capital, he was a fund manager at Tilney Investment Management in Liverpool and Goodbody’s in Dublin, providing considerable buy-side insight into the equity sales role. Malachy became Head of Sales in 2010 and has subsequently been appointed as Head of Corporate Broking in 2018.

Nick Conyerd

Nick joined Shore Capital in 2002.  He started his career at Smith New Court in 1993 after graduating from University.  In 1997, Nick became a Director at Merril Lynch and during his time there he was responsible for running the risk trading team that specialised in over 5,000 equities across a number of European markets for both brokers and institutions.  He was also instrumental in the creation and day to day management of the Retail Service Provider (RSP) offering in the UK for Merrill Lynch.

Simon has twenty three years’ experience of working in Financial Services and joined Shore Capital from Stockdale Securities where he was the Head of Sales, a role that he held since 2009 (at which time the team were part of Arbuthnot Securities). Prior to joining Arbuthnot, he held the position of Senior Sales Person and Director at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and has held other senior equity sales roles at leading investment banks including HSBC and Investec. Simon has many long standing relationships with the major investing institutions in London and Edinburgh and has a deep knowledge of raising equity capital for listed companies.

Simon has a degree in Industrial Economics, Politics and History and prior to starting his career in Financial Services, Simon served as a Captain in the British Army.

Eamonn Flanagan

Eamonn Flanagan

Senior Adviser

Eamonn was formerly one of the UK's top ten stockbroking analysts in the insurance and specialty finance sectors. After a degree in mathematics, he qualified as an actuary with Royal Insurance where he worked for nine years; he is now a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He moved into stockbroking research with Charterhouse Tilney where he was for nine years when it latterly became ING Financial Markets. He joined Shore Capital in 2003 as head of the Liverpool office and became a Senior Adviser in 2018.
